My son, who is 5 years and 4 months old, has his Widal test results as follows, Salmonella typhi O 1:160 positive, Salmonella typhi H 1:80 positive, Salmonella typhi AH 1:80 positive, and Salmonella typhi BH 1:40 negative. Does this mean he has typhoid? What treatment should be followed?

A Widal titre of 1:160 suggests a possible infection, but symptoms matter too. If your child has fever and digestive issues, a pediatrician may start antibiotics. Ensure hydration and follow up with doctor. Please repeat the Widal test or do a blood culture as advised to confirm the diagnosis

Take a WIDAL TEST (TUBE METHOD) Test or Take a Typhidot - IgG Test
