I was tested for typhoid about 25 days ago, and at that time my Widal test showed O type 1:160 and H type 1:160. I recently got tested again, and now all other types are negative except O type, which is still showing 1:160. I would like to know the reason behind this. What should I do next, and what kind of food should I eat during this recovery period?

A Widal test with O titre of 1:160 showing persistent positivity may reflect past exposure or false positive. If you are not experiencing fever or other symptoms, there may be no active infection. Avoid spicy or oily food. Stick to a light diet like rice, boiled vegetables, fruits, and hydration.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY - AEROBIC (BLOOD) Test or Take a LIVER FUNCTION TEST (LFT) Test
