My Widal test report shows S Typhi O 1:80, S Typhi H 1:80, S Paratyphi AH 1:20, and S Paratyphi BH 1:20. Am I infected with typhoid fever? If yes, what immediate precautions should be taken? Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Titers at 1:80 suggest borderline response, not diagnostic unless rising in serial tests. Please take a Typhidot IgM/IgG or Blood Culture to confirm typhoid.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a TYPHIDOT IgG AND IgM Test or Take a CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY - AEROBIC (BLOOD) Test

My mother has been having fever for the past 33 days. When she takes medication, the fever temporarily goes away, but it returns after some time. She also has diabetes and thyroid issues and is experiencing significant body pain. Her recent test report indicates typhoid fever. How can we effectively treat this, and are there any further tests we should consider?

I had a fever last week (not continuous) along with a slight, constant headache for 3 to 4 days. After the fever broke, I did a blood test at a private clinic the next day. The Widal test report showed 1/160 Typhi O positive. The doctor prescribed Rabasec D SR, Cefixime, and Ofloxacin for 10 days, saying it was a slight case of typhoid. Is this treatment appropriate?
