My wife has been suffering from constant stomach pain for the last 15 to 20 days. We visited a doctor and had a blood test that confirmed typhoid. She has been taking medication prescribed by the doctor for one week. After that, we did another blood test and stool examination as advised, and the doctor said the typhoid is cured, but there is still a stomach infection because there is some blood in the stool. She was given another three day course of medicine, but there has been no improvement. Please suggest what we should do next.

Persistent symptoms despite treatment may indicate another type of infection, inflammation or intestinal issue. A stool culture or endoscopy might help. Please consult a gastroenterologist.

Please suggest what should be done next.
