Is paste like yellow stool common with IBS? No matter how much fiber I add or how much water I drink, the majority of my stool is like this. I eat apple, banana, and oats daily in the morning for fiber. I do not eat junk food, totally stopped for a year. Is this IBS? Also, if I drink milk or eat spicy food, I have observed smelly gas after that. Please guide. LFT, CBC, urine, and thyroid are all normal.

Yellow, paste like stools can occur in IBS, especially with your pattern of symptoms. Adding fiber and hydration helps, but IBS can still cause loose stools, bloating, and gas after milk or spicy food. It is good you avoid junk and eat a healthy diet. Since your LFT, CBC, thyroid, and urine tests are normal, this is reassuring. You can book a Stool Routine and Microscopy test to rule out infections or fat malabsorption if symptoms continue.

I am attaching my report. Please explain what it means. Is there any medicine to relieve patchy hyperemia in the antrum, which suggests gastritis? I have had indigestion for five months, and my stools are thin, and I sometimes feel a burning sensation in my stomach. When I eat foods such as rajma, chole, paneer, milk, soybean and chicken, I often feel stomach discomfort for two days, and my stool becomes loose. Please explain in detail and help?

For the past three days, my diarrhea has not stopped. I am having almost 7 to 10 bowel movements a day, along with vomiting twice and a nauseous feeling. I also have high fever and fatigue. My family doctor prescribed antibiotics and other medicines, saying it could be due to food poisoning, but there is little relief. Should I go for a blood test to determine if it is something else?
