Hello. My baby turned five months old on 19th April. Since the night of 14th April, he had a mild temperature between 99.2 degrees F and 99.8 degrees F. After two days, I consulted his pediatrician, who suggested starting the antibiotic Cepodem 100 syrup. He had a previous history of UTI and was hospitalized at two months old, so the doctor also advised a urine test, which I have attached for reference. Since 20th April, he did not have a fever. However, the day before yesterday, in the morning, his temperature was 99.4 degrees F, which later returned to normal. Burning could be due to infection. Semen culture helps confirm if bacteria are present. Treatment is usually with antibiotics and often resolves with a proper course.
