This is regarding the health of my friend, whose blood report indicates hyperthyroidism. I would like to know whether this is a serious condition or a common disorder that can be treated easily, and if it could potentially cause major health problems in the future. He is 31 years old, and his test results show Microsomal TPO is 242.15, Thyroglobulin ATG is 848.47, HbA1C is 5.2, and glucose is 102.54.

High TPO and ATG antibodies indicate autoimmune thyroiditis (likely Hashimotos or Graves). Its treatable, but regular monitoring is needed.
Dr. Ezhilarasan Suggests...
Take a THYROID PEROXIDASE ANTIBODIES (ANTI MICROSOMAL ANTIBODIES) Test or Take a Thyroid Profile (T3 T4 TSH) Test Test

View allI am suffering from alopecia areata with hair loss from the scalp, stomach, chest, legs, pubic region, and beard. My doctor prescribed Minoxidil 10 percent and told me this is due to stress. Now I am also seeing hair loss from the crown portion of the head. The doctor told me it is male pattern baldness. I do not understand what I should do as hair fall is increasing day by day. Is this incurable? This situation is making me more stressed. My blood test report is fine except TSH, which is 0.34. Should I try natural remedies like onion juice and others?

During pregnancy, thyroid was detected. I was taking 25 mg tablets as prescribed by my gynecologist during pregnancy. Now my son is 2 years old, and a blood test was done 3 days ago. The test was Free TSH, Free T3, and Free T4. T3 and T4 are within range, but TSH is raised to 7.25. What should I do? The blood report is attached here. Please guide.

I am 32 years old, married, and have hypothyroidism. I take 50 mcg of medication every day. Over the last few months, I have noticed that my periods end on the second day, with no flow on the third day and only light spotting on the fourth day. The flow is very light, I could manage with one pad for the whole day, though I usually do not. My periods are regular and always on time. My recent thyroid test results are: TSH: 5.55 T3: 1.06 T4: 6.30 Is this normal?
