Respected Doctor, I have been experiencing gas and indigestion for the past two months, sometimes accompanied by nausea. I also notice white mucus in my stool, along with brain fog and anxiety. My recent blood tests show Hemoglobin is 11.9 (RBC count 4.31, previously 12.5 in October 2021 and 15 in August 2020 WBC count is 9800 (Neutrophils 59 percent, Lymphocytes 34 percent, Eosinophils 4 percent, Monocytes 3 percent) RDW is 16.3 Liver function tests are SGPT 28.2, SGOT 28, Bilirubin Direct 0.12, Indirect 0.2, Alkaline Phosphatase 88 I also have hypertension and am taking CTD T 6.25/40 in the morning and Met XL 25 at night. Additionally, I have been taking Pan D capsule for the past year on an empty stomach in the morning. My hemoglobin is gradually decreasing. Could you please advise what might be causing these symptoms and the drop in hemoglobin, and what further tests or treatment I may need?

Symptoms suggest possible gut dysbiosis or IBS. Consider stool test, B12, iron profile. Long term Pan D use may affect absorption.
Dr. Shaik Suggests...
Take a STOOL EXAMINATION, PH & REDUCING SUBSTANCES Test or Take a Vitamin B12 Test Test

View allI am a 29 year old single female. I have been experiencing stomach pain and diarrhea for several months. I consulted a gastroenterologist, who suggested that stress or IBS might be causing these symptoms. He prescribed Tab Novamcin RT, Cap Imodium, and Tab Revortil. After taking the medicines for a month, my pain and bowel issues improved. However, now I feel a heaviness above my navel. My doctor repeated some tests: TSH: 1.71 CRP: 3.46 mg/L Hemoglobin: 11.3 g/dL ESR: 110 mm/hr PCV/Hematocrit: 35.5 percent RDW(CV): 15.2 The doctor prescribed the same medicines again and added Tab Meganeuron OD, but the heaviness around my navel persists.

My occult blood report is not detected, but there is blood in my stool in physical examination. Is it a cause of concern?

Hi, my son was born on 29th January. He was doing fine until last week. Since then, he has had frequent motions, mostly liquid with tiny white solids. Doctors say he is unable to digest his mothers milk. His occult blood report is positive and reducing agent is also positive. The doctor has suggested feeding him only baby formula. We have consulted two doctors in the past week and are really worried. Please suggest?
