My wife is 6 weeks pregnant and has had a fever of around 99-100 since yesterday. I'm really concerned about what might be going on. We had her urine culture done twice, and the results showed proteus the first time and citrobacter the next. She doesn't have any UTI symptoms though. Can you give some advice on this situation? I'm a bit confused about what all these mean, especially when they mention things like a single live foetus with a vertical lie and low head position. It sounds like everything is okay, but no IUGR and no cord around the babys neck are mentioned too. Could you help clarify all this for me?

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I've been having this annoying itching on my hands and legs, but only at night. It's really bothering me. I got my liver function test done and it seems like my SGPT and SGOT levels, along with AP, are higher than normal. Everything else looks okay though. I've attached the report. Is there a chance I've got cholestasis or is there any risk I should be worried about with these results?

To manage cholestasis during pregnancy, you can take Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) at a dosage of 300mg to 600mg per day. UDCA helps to improve liver function and reduce itching in cholestasis. Additionally, you may also be prescribed antihistamines like Chlorpheniramine to help with the itching. It is important to follow up with your obstetrician for further evaluation and management of your condition. Regular monitoring of your liver function tests and close observation of your baby's well-being may be necessary to ensure a safe pregnancy outcome.
