Hello Doctor, I noticed a lump in my left breast about three weeks ago and consulted a surgeon, who advised me to get a breast ultrasound. The report shows a BIRADS category 3, and I have now been recommended to undergo a core biopsy. I am currently a lactating mother, and I have a few concerns. I would like to know if the core biopsy is absolutely necessary at this stage, and if so, will it affect my ability to continue breastfeeding normally?
