The best mode of treatment for big sized kidney stones (7mm and more) is lithotripsy. Other treatments may include drinking 12 glasses of water so that small sized kidney stones can pass via urine.

I have two kidney stones. My ultrasound scan shows a 10.3 mm stone in the right kidney and a 6.3 mm stone in the left kidney. The scan also notes mildly increased renal parenchymal echogenicity, suggesting medical renal disease, with bilateral non obstructing calculi. My urine and blood tests show a creatinine level of 1.65 mg/dL, urea of 31.9 mg/dL, blood urea nitrogen of 14.9 mg/dL, and protein 1. I would like to understand what this means for my kidney health and what steps I should take next.
