If you have risk factors for heart disease, you should not consume more than 200 milligrams of cholesterol a day. 300miligrams at the max if you are a healthy individual.
No eating coconut does not increase cholesterol. However, coconut oil has been associated with saturated fats which can elevate cholesterol levels.
Overtime, high blood glucose levels constricts the arteries making them small for proper blood circulation hence the heart has to pump with more effort this may lead to cardiovascular complications.
Avoid saturated fats if you have high cholesterol.
