I've had a headache and blurry vision for the past 6 months so I consulted a physician who recommended a CT scan. The CT showed prominent ventricles and suggested an MRI. The MRI results came back as meningioma and 5th nerve schwannoma. Could you explain what treatment options are available for this - can it be managed with medication or will surgery be necessary

My mom has been diagnosed with a herniated disc causing leg pain and the doctor recommended L5 S1 surgery. Will this surgery actually fix her problem or are there other risks we should know about? Also, what's the usual cost for this kind of procedure?

This condition may require clinical evaluation to determine the exact cause and treatment. Some cases can be managed conservatively, while others may need surgical intervention depending on size, symptoms, and severity. Regular follow-up is important to monitor progress.

I've been dealing with numbness in my little and ring fingers on both hands. Initially, doctors thought it was CTS and put me on gabapentin, but an MRI recently showed nerve compression at C5-C6-C7 levels, and they're suggesting surgery. Are there any non-surgical options I could explore first? Also, could you explain the possible risks or complications if I do go ahead with the spine surgery? You can email me at mr.venkateshprasad@gmail.com if that's easier.

Consultation with a neurosurgeon/ neurologist is advisable
