A few months ago I started clenching my teeth during the day intentionally to move my lower jaw forward so that my lower front teeth could touch my upper front teeth as I had an overbite problem. I have attached some pictures of my overbite problem. After clenching for a few months I experienced severe jaw pain and then I stopped clenching. However the results of clenching have heavily affected me. The shape of my face has probably changed due to muscle contraction from teeth clenching and I feel several jaw joint problems. What are the effects of excessive teeth clenching on my TM joint and how can this problem be cured.
