Why is the lipid profile test important?
A lipid panel is a test that measures the amount of certain fat molecules called lipids in your blood.

The doctor will ask you to perform a simple blood test known as lipid profile to measure cholesterol.
The normal range for cholesterol is up to 200 mg/dL. The normal range for triglycerides is less than 150 mg/dL. The normal range for HDL cholesterol is between 40 - 60 mg/dL (the higher the value, the better) The normal range for LDL cholesterol is less than 100 mg/dL
