Question

I've noticed that the skin inside my mouth is peeling off in layers, but I dont feel any pain when it happens. It's kind of concerning, and I'm not sure what's causing it. Can anyone help me understand why this might be happening?

The peeling of skin inside your mouth, also known as oral mucosal desquamation, can be caused by various factors, including vitamin deficiencies (B12, iron, or zinc), oral lichen planus, mucositis, or irritation from dental work, mouthwashes, or certain foods; given the absence of pain, it's likely a benign condition, but consulting a dentist or oral pathologist for a thorough examination and guidance is recommended to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.
