Question
My spherical power is 4.00 in both eyes and has been stable for a year, but now I have a new cylindrical power of 0.50. Should I hold off on LASIK surgery because of this change?

A new cylindrical power of 0.50 after a year of stable spherical power may not necessarily require you to hold off on LASIK surgery. Many surgeons consider a 0.50 diopter change stable enough for LASIK.
