12 years ago I had surgery for a pilonidal sinus, but now the problem has come back. I'm really worried is there a permanent solution for this? The recurring pain is bothering me a lot, and I don't want to keep dealing with it. What options do I have?

Recurrent pilonidal sinus often needs surgery for permanent resolution. Laser excision or cleft lift surgery offers better long-term results than traditional excision methods.

I had a right side inguinal hernia mesh repair surgery 3 years ago and now I've developed a new hernia on the left side. I'm considering another mesh repair but I'm worried about hernia recurrence after mesh surgery. Does having mesh repair increase the chances of the hernia coming back compared to other types of repairs? What's the likelihood of recurrence with a second mesh surgery?

Second hernia mesh repair is commonly done and recurrence is not necessarily higher with mesh. The success rate is high when done properly.
