Hello doctor I am Ravi age 25. I have a big problem with weight gain and even after following a weight gain diet and gym my weight remains constant at 52 kg. A few days ago I was drinking alcohol regularly and after that I developed pain below the chest, weight loss, loss of appetite, malaise, shortness of breath, depression, and ringworm on legs and hands. I recently did my liver test, and my report shows AST/SGOT as 62 and ALT/SGPT as 122. Is this serious? Kindly advise.

Hi, one of my LFT tests shows SGOT as 70 with a reference range of 15 to 37 and SGPT as 200 with a reference range of 16 to 63. Another lab test shows SGOT as 83 with a normal range of 0 to 40 and SGPT as 176 with a normal range of 0 to 36. Can someone please help me understand which values are worse? Is the second lab test worse than the first? Which values are higher?
