Can a slit lamp microscope alone detect if PRK or TransPRK surgery has fully healed or would I need additional tests to confirm everything's okay
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
No, slit lamp alone can't confirm healing after PRK/TransPRK. Additional tests like corneal topography, pachymetry, and visual acuity are needed for complete assessment.

View allmy corneal thickness is 475 in the right eye and 485 in the left eye with a minus 9 power. i'm considering lasik surgery but i'm not sure if my cornea is thick enough for it. can you advise if it's possible in my case?
While a corneal thickness of 475-485 microns in each eye with a -9 diopter prescription might seem borderline for LASIK, it's crucial to understand that corneal thickness is only one factor in determining LASIK suitability.
