Can someone help me understand if surgery is really needed based on this MRI report? The person is currently on meds but the doctor hasn't recommended physiotherapy yet just exercises. The neck pain started in April and keeps coming back, even shooting down to the right arm. Why would the doctor only suggest exercises and not physio?

The MRI report shows intraligament hyperintense areas in the ACL, abnormal hyperintensity in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, MCL thickening with hyperintensity, bone marrow contusion in the medial femoral and tibial condyle, a radial tear in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, and a grade 1 MCL sprain. Can partial ACL damage heal without surgery or does it need reconstruction?

Your MRI shows a few other injuries alongside the partial ACL tear, including a medial meniscus tear and an MCL sprain, which could influence the treatment decision. Consulting with an orthopedic specialist is crucial to determine the best course of action for your specific situation
