Can you help me understand what my X-ray report means? I've been feeling some slight pain in my left chest, especially when I take a deep breath. I had bronchitis recently, so I'm a bit worried about what this could mean.

Understanding X-ray Reports: a. Focus on key terms like "infiltrate," "opacity," or "consolidation," which may indicate infection or inflammation. b. Look for mentions of "normal" or "clear" which suggest no significant findings.
-
Chest Pain and Recent Bronchitis: a. Pain with deep breaths could be pleuritic, often linked to inflammation or infection. b. Recent bronchitis may cause residual inflammation, but persistent or worsening symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare provider.
-
Next Steps: a. Consult your doctor for a detailed explanation of the X-ray findings. b. Consider follow-up imaging or tests if symptoms persist or worsen.

View allI've been experiencing some random chest pain since I got over COVID back in May. It usually hits around the ribs or near my heart. I've had an ECG and echo, and even a stress echo, and everything came back fine. But now, with the colder weather, I feel this mild pain in my chest when I cough or do om pranayam, mainly in the heart area. My cardiologist thinks it's muscular, but I'm wondering if it could be something lung-related instead. Are there any tests I should consider to figure out if it's a lung issue or really just muscular?

I'm trying to understand my recent x-ray results which mentioned 'right apical PTB of undetermined activity.' I'm a bit concerned because I did a sputum test and it came back negative for TB bacteria. Also, I have no TB symptoms and the last time I had this disease was 14 years ago. Could this be something serious? What should I be looking out for?
The X-ray result indicates a past, likely healed, tuberculosis (TB) infection in your right lung, with "undetermined activity" suggesting no current active infection, which is supported by your negative sputum test and lack of symptoms.
