Dear sir, my vitamin D level is 12. How can I achieve a normal value? I feel muscle and bone pain. I attached my report here.

Vitamin D is deficient. You need 60,000 IU vitamin D weekly for 6 to 8 weeks after medical advice. Include sunlight and calcium rich foods.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a Calcium Test Test or Take a PTH Test (Parathyroid Hormone) Test

View allHi Doctors, my 5 year old kid has been complaining of fibula pain for more than a year. Last January we did his blood test (CBC and Vitamin D3). We found vitamin D3 deficiency and CBC was ok except for a slightly elevated platelet count as he had cough at that time. We consulted a pediatrician and he told us that the kid will have pain due to vitamin D3 deficiency and nothing to worry. He gave some vitamin D3 medicine and it healed the pain, and he did not complain of pain until this month. He gets pain mostly at night after his outdoor activities like playing in the park. The pain lasts for 2 hours and he finds it difficult to walk, but the next morning he walks properly. Can you please suggest the treatment? Do we need to take him to the pediatrician again or to an orthopedic doctor? Please help.
