Dear Sir/Madam, I went for a USG WA test last night, and the report shows my liver is 15.56 cm. Is it enlarged? My height is 174 cm and my weight is 76 kg.

A liver size of 15.56 cm is borderline enlarged, but can be normal depending on your body size. Your height (174 cm) and weight (76 kg) are within a healthy range, so mild enlargement may not be concerning if liver texture is normal. Common causes include fatty liver, alcohol intake, or metabolic issues. Avoid alcohol, maintain a healthy weight, and follow a liver-friendly diet. You can book a Liver Function Test (LFT) and Lipid Profile to check liver health and fat levels.

Recent blood tests of my mother show some abnormal results, including RBC count of 5.22x1000000/microlitre, platelet count of 134x10000/microlitre (low), PDW of 14.7, fasting glucose of 114.5 mg/dL, ALT (SGPT) of 103.76 U/L (high), and AST (SGOT) of 50.73 U/L (high). She has been experiencing weakness in certain parts of her body, sweating on one side, and a feeling of inner restlessness. She is currently on medications for blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol, but has not received a clear diagnosis. Could you please advise on the possible cause of her symptoms and abnormal lab results, the course of treatment, and which specialist doctor she should consult next?
