Each time I have lunch, I notice my heart starts beating faster than normal. This happens only after eating food. I am a 53 year old female with a history of thyroid problems. I want to know the reason. Why does my heart beat so fast after eating?

Fast heartbeat after meals is called postprandial tachycardia and can occur due to increased blood flow for digestion. It may be more noticeable if meals are heavy, spicy, or high in sugar. Thyroid imbalance can also contribute to this symptom. Eat smaller, balanced meals and avoid caffeine and sugary drinks with meals. View allI have recently undergone a thyroid test. My TSH and T3 are within the normal range, and T4 is also normal but on the higher side. Is this a cause for concern? I am attaching the lab report for your reference.

8 months back my TSH was 4.5 and I am taking 87.5 mg for the past 2 years. Today my TSH is 9. My doctor is out of town. Can you please check my report and tell me if I can go for 100 mg and for how many months? Because my doctor keeps switching in between 87.5 and 100 mg. Does TSH level increase during monthly cycle? Kindly help with the dosage.

Hi Sir, We recently did a thyroid test for my wife, who gave birth 5 months ago. The results are: T3: 2.96, T4: 0.54, TSH: 62. Is this normal after delivery, or should we start treatment? If treatment is started, will her thyroid levels come down to normal?
