Each time I have lunch, I notice my heart starts beating faster than normal. This happens only after eating food. I am a 53 year old female with a history of thyroid problems. I want to know the reason. Why does my heart beat so fast after eating?

Fast heartbeat after meals is called postprandial tachycardia and can occur due to increased blood flow for digestion. It may be more noticeable if meals are heavy, spicy, or high in sugar. Thyroid imbalance can also contribute to this symptom. Eat smaller, balanced meals and avoid caffeine and sugary drinks with meals. You can book a Thyroid Profile and ECG to check thyroid status and heart rhythm if it continues.

As per my blood test report, my thyroid is 6.60 and MPV is 13.30. Should I take medicine for both? If yes, which medicine should I take?

Lab report 22 Oct shows T3 is 1.99, T4 is 10.75, and TSH is 5.74. Can we proceed for pregnancy or do we need to cure thyroid first before pregnancy? Please prescribe medication. Is any other test necessary before pregnancy?
