Had FESS surgery 10 days ago to remove tissues in sinuses and around the eye. Now experiencing nasal congestion, slight swelling above and below the eye but no pain or eyelid involvement, good eye movement and light sensitivity. Also have a cough and pain above the eye when touched. Could these symptoms be related to the surgery?

Yes, it's likely that your symptoms are related to the FESS surgery, specifically due to the inflammation and healing process. The nasal congestion, swelling, and pain are common after FESS. A cough could also be a result of the surgery, as the sinuses and nasal passages are closely connected to the upper respiratory tract. The pain when touched around the eye could be related to the close proximity of the surgical area to the orbit.

View allI'm really worried about my 3.5-year-old daughter. She's been breathing through her mouth for over two years now. We saw an ENT specialist, and they mentioned her air veins are blocked. We did the whole treatment with cepodem, delcan, aerodil syrups, and nebulisation for five days. She seemed to breathe better afterward but still through her mouth. The doctor listened again and heard something that led us to get a nose X-ray. It showed she has adenoid hypertrophy, Grade 4. Theyre suggesting we consider an endoscopic debrider adenoidectomy. Im really unsure about going through with this. Are there any risks with this surgery? Can medication alone treat this, and is she too young at 3.5 for such a procedure? Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm really worried about my 31-year-old daughter. She woke up yesterday with a small lump inside her tongue, and now, just 35 hours later, it's grown to the size of a marble. Could you please help us understand what might be going on and if we should be concerned?

I'm dealing with this weird sensation where the left side of my mouth always feels itchy and slightly painful, almost like it's dry. It's just before my throat and past my left tonsil. This has been bugging me for months now. Sometimes, it reminds me of a mouth ulcer, but it just keeps coming back after a few days. Plus, when I sleep on my left side for a while, it feels uncomfortable because only my left nostril stays open, and the airflow directly hits that area. Any idea what might be going on here?
