View allIs surgery always necessary for sentinel piles or can they be treated with oral meds or topical gels? I've heard mixed things and want to know if there are non-surgical options that actually work
Surgery for sentinel piles isn't always necessary. While it may be the best option in some cases, especially for chronic or severe issues, non-surgical treatments like lifestyle modifications, oral medications, and topical gels can often provide effective relief and resolution

I've been having sharp pain in my anus and it's gotten so bad I can't even sit properly. My doctor recommended surgery but I'm really nervous about it. On top of that, I've been dealing with constipation and it's messing up my sleep. Is surgery the only option or are there other things I can try first?
