Hello, my sister is 27 years old. She delivered yesterday. We did her liver function test. Please advise how the report is. What is serum alkaline phosphatase? It shows 214.

ALP can be mildly elevated in postnatal period or due to healing bones/liver stress. If no jaundice or symptoms, monitor. Please take repeat LFT and ALP Isoenzyme if needed.
Dr. Dhankecha Suggests...
Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test or Take a ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE ISOENZYME ELECTROPHORESIS - SERUM Test

View allHi Doctor. I am a 41 year old male. My abdominal ultrasound report shows that the liver is average in size, measuring about 16.1 cm in the right midclavicular line with a smooth outline. It has normal homogeneous echogenicity with smooth echotexture. There is an ill defined heterogeneous lesion in segment IVb V measuring about 1.7 by 2.4 cm with minimal surrounding vascularity. The portal vein is average in calibre with normal colour flow. Can you explain the cause and how dangerous this condition is.

Sir, today I did my LFT test. Please check my results: Total bilirubin: 1.1 Direct bilirubin: 0.6 Indirect bilirubin: 0.5 SGOT: 45 SGPT: 46 Alkaline phosphatase: 299 According to my lab, the total alkaline phosphatase normal range is up to 308. Please confirm. Currently, I am taking Ursocol 300 mg. Can I take Amlycure syrup along with this? Please suggest any safe medicines or methods to help reduce my SGPT and SGOT levels. I am attaching my LFT report for reference. Thank you.
