Hey, so we had sex early Sunday morning and my girlfriend took an ipill that night. Then we ended up having unprotected sex again on Tuesday. I'm just wondering if the ipill will still work for the second time or does she need to take another pill?

The effectiveness of emergency contraceptive pills like i-pill decreases if taken multiple times in a short period. It is recommended to not rely on i-pill as a regular form of contraception. For the recent unprotected sex on Tuesday, your girlfriend can consider taking another emergency contraceptive pill like Unwanted 72 within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse to reduce the risk of pregnancy.

  1. Effectiveness of I-pill: The I-pill is intended for use after a single act of unprotected sex. It is not effective for subsequent unprotected intercourse without taking another dose.

  2. Recommendation: Since unprotected sex occurred again on Tuesday, the I-pill taken after the first instance will not protect against pregnancy from the second instance. It is advisable to take another dose of the emergency contraceptive as soon as possible.

  3. Contraceptive Advice: Emergency contraceptives are not meant for regular use. Discussing ongoing contraceptive options with a healthcare provider is beneficial for future protection.

I've been waiting for six days now and still no period. I did a pregnancy test, but it came back negative. I'm really confused about what's going on. Could there be other reasons for my period being this late?

I'm dealing with a polyp in my uterus and it's causing irregular periods and spotting. It gets especially bad when I run or feel stressed. I'm really worried and wondering what can be done to help this situation?

Consider consulting a gynecologist for a thorough evaluation and discussion of treatment options for the uterine polyp, which may include watchful waiting, hormonal medications, or surgical removal via polypectomy or dilation and curettage (D&C); in the meantime, your doctor may recommend hormone-regulating medications or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to manage symptoms like irregular periods and spotting.

I'm really concerned about my episiotomyit still causes me pain, even though it's been three years since I gave birth. It's particularly uncomfortable during my periods and when I'm having intercourse. Should I be worried that this pain hasn't gone away, and is there anything I can do to relieve it?

Episiotomy incision involves the wall of the vagina. Generally, the wall of the vagina is strong, but post surgical intervention, it may weaken. It is important to maintain vaginal wall muscle strength through Kegel's Exercises. Do these everyday to improve muscle strength. If the pain persists, please visit a gynecologist for further evaluation.
