Hi, my T3 and T4 are high but TSH is normal. I also have PCOS. Can you please suggest if these can be a reason for weight gain? Even with a normal diet, my weight is increasing continuously. Please find the attached blood test report.

Raised T3/T4 may be early hyperthyroidism. PCOS also contributes to weight gain. You may need hormonal balance and follow up. Please consult an endocrinologist and do the required thyroid and hormone tests again.

View allHello, my aunt recovered from viral fever last week. She is not under any medication now. However, for the last 2 to 3 days, she has developed severe headache and nausea. On checking with a local physician, she was advised to do TSH, T3, and T4 tests. Previously, she was under medication for high TSH but stopped the medication a few months ago thinking everything was normal and feeling fine. The fresh test today shows TSH 18.77, T3 117, and T4 9.4. The reports indicate a high TSH level. She is worried and needs help.
