Hi, my vitamin D results are showing 8.95. Shall I take vitamin D tablets or shall I focus on having vitamin D foods? Please suggest.

A level of 8.95 is very low. You should take Vitamin D3 supplements (usually 60,000 IU weekly for 6 to 8 weeks). Sunlight and food alone are not enough to correct this level.

There is a white patch that has emerged on my neck, which was not that prominent sometime back but now it is quite prominent. I got blood tests done on the advice of the doctor and I do not have sugar or thyroid. I have vitamin D deficiency though. What could be the possible reason for this white patch? There is no patch on any other part of the body, only on the neck.

I am 30 years old and have been experiencing knee pain for the past month. My X ray shows no abnormalities, and doctors suggest it might be due to calcium deficiency. I am taking calcium supplements and have been undergoing physiotherapy sessions for the last 15 days, but the pain persists. My blood test shows an ESR count of 44. Could you please advise if this is something serious and what further steps I should take?
