How common is it to need a posterior nasal pack or balloon catheter after nasal surgery or when suctioning blood clots from the throat? I've heard these can be pretty uncomfortable and I'm worried about whether they're always necessary or if there are alternatives Is there a way to tell ahead of time if someone might need one of these after surgery or is it just something you figure out if bleeding gets bad? I'm scheduled for nasal surgery soon and trying to prepare for what to expect What's the recovery like with these packs in place? Do they make breathing or swallowing way harder or is it manageable? I've got a pretty low pain tolerance so I'm nervous about the whole process

I'm experiencing some ear discomfort that seems to flare up mostly at night. I've also been having this persistent cough and feel like my hearing isn't as sharp as it used to be. Could you give me some advice on what I should do about this?
Start using ear drops like Otek AC or Otocin O 2 drops 3 times a day, an anti-allergic like Cetrizine tablet at night and if you are not hypertensive, a decongestant like Otrivin nose drops 2 drops 3 times. I've been dealing with these bumps on the back of my tongue for the past 20 days. Sometimes my ear starts to hurt too, and I feel discomfort kind of at the back of my teeth. Do you think these symptoms are connected, and should I be worried about them? Could this be something serious?
