I broke my pinky toe about 6 weeks ago, and while the bone did fuse back a bit, it was only half fused, causing me to walk awkwardly. The doctor said it was a malunion, and I had surgery two days ago to fix it with a K wire in my toe. The pain was really bad the first day but now it only hurts a little if I move my foot left or right. The doctor recommended taking a week off to rest and then start walking again. How long does it usually take for a fracture with a K wire to heal properly? Will walking with the K wire be painful or lead to any complications? I'm just looking for some advice on what to expect.

View allI have a grade 3 ACL tear and some other ligament damage in my right knee is surgery absolutely necessary? I've heard about stem cell therapy would that be a better option for full recovery? Which treatment will help me regain full knee function and biomechanics? Really confused about what to choose for the best long-term results.
The ACL is a stabilizer of the knee. It is quite important for the bio mechanics of the knee. Knee is not a simple hinge, but a complex bicondylar joint. Many studies have shown that ACL injury if left untreated may lead to early arthritis and injury to the menisci. But in simpler terms, if the knee buckling and feeling of give way is severe, better to reconstruct. Stem cell therapy helps in regeneration of tissue, but it's efficacy if still not fully documented. But it will have no immediate stabilising effect. I don't know any studies which have shown ACL regeneration with stem cell therapy.

I have patellar subluxation. It dislocates and comes back to position but gives pain at that moment and I fall down due to instability. I come back to normal within 35mins. No pain. What should I do to fully recover from this Should I start doing Physio exercises I am not in a situation to do surgery if its needed
To recover from patellar subluxation without surgery, focus on strengthening the muscles around the knee, improving knee stability, and managing pain. Physical therapy is crucial for building muscle strength and improving joint stability, which can reduce the likelihood of future subluxations.

My MRI shows a complete tear of the supraspinatus tendon at its insertion with 0.8cm retraction. I'm a 45-year-old woman can this heal with physiotherapy or is surgery the only option? I'm worried about recovery and what's best for my shoulder.
Only tear is not important. Even restriction of movts is imp. Y poo it tear has been there since how long and other things. Many pts even with complete tear don't need surgery. They do well with physio
