Following a friend medical advice, I have started taking Thyroxine Sodium 25 mcg tablets. Will this treatment help normalize my next menstrual cycle, or will I also need hormonal therapy? Elevated TSH could cause heavy periods. Thyroxine should help regulate cycles, but monitor TSH in 6 weeks. Hormonal therapy not always needed.

8 months back my TSH was 4.5 and I am taking 87.5 mg for the past 2 years. Today my TSH is 9. My doctor is out of town.
