View allWhat are the downsides of choosing a hamstring graft instead of a patellar graft for ACL surgery I'm a 19-year-old athlete and worried about how it might affect my performance or recovery long-term Is a hamstring graft worse than a patellar graft for ACL reconstruction I play sports and want to know if it'll impact my strength or flexibility later As a young athlete getting ACL surgery, should I avoid a hamstring graft I've heard it might not be as strong as the patellar option and I don't want to risk my future in sports What are the risks of using a hamstring graft for ACL repair I'm 19 and really active so I need something that won't hold me back later Would a hamstring graft make my recovery harder or limit my athletic ability compared to a patellar graft I'm only 19 and want to get back to sports as strong as before
we can then consider surgical options.

My 12-year-old got a fracture in their right arm between the shoulder and elbow after a minor push during play. The X-ray showed a balloon-shaped cyst measuring 6.3x2.5x2.6 cm, and the bone isn't even visible in that area the bone wall looks really thin. The orthopedist put on a shoulder immobilizer for six weeks but didn't suggest any specific treatment or meds for the cyst. The MRI says it's a unicameral aneurysmal bone cyst. Is this cyst curable? Would they need surgery or can it be treated with medication?
In a fresh case, the fractured cyst needs surgery for bony union and treatment of cyst. First stabilisation with TENS or k-wires. Then curettage, and/or grafting if required. Now after 6weeks, if the bone has healed then there is no need for surgery. Next Steps share x-rays if you can. Health Tips Prevent trauma on pathological side as the cyst light fracture again.

I've been experiencing some pain in my left arm, mainly in the biceps, triceps, and forearm areas. Ive already done an ECG and a lipid profile test, and both came back normal. I'm really concerned about what could be causing this discomfort. Could there be something else going on that I should check out?
This type of left arm pain could be musculoskeletal in nature, possibly due to overuse or muscle strain. I recommend taking a pain reliever such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen to help with the discomfort. Additionally, applying a topical analgesic cream like diclofenac gel can also provide relief. Make sure to rest the affected arm and avoid activities that worsen the pain. If the pain persists or worsens, consult with a physiotherapist for further evaluation and management.
