I had laser surgery for piles and fissure on 29th September but still haven't passed any stool only gas and some bloody discharge. Is this normal or should I be worried? What can I do to ease this?

After laser surgery for piles and fissures, it's not uncommon to experience delayed bowel movements or mild discomfort. If you're concerned, consult your surgeon for advice. You can try fiber supplements, warm baths, and stool softeners to help ease discomfort.

View allWhich type of anesthesia is used for laser fissure surgery general or local? I'm a bit nervous about the procedure and want to know what to expect in terms of pain and recovery
Laser surgery for anal fissures typically uses local anesthesia. This means the area around the anus is numbed, and you can remain awake during the procedure. General anesthesia might be considered in some cases, like complex situations or if you're anxious. Laser surgery is generally less painful than traditional surgery and offers a faster recovery

My dad has been dealing with a fistula for the past 10 years. Should he consider surgery or are there other treatment options we should look into? It's been really tough for him and I'm not sure what the best course of action is.

I'm dealing with multiple fistulas and they're really painful. I'm trying to figure out whether laser surgery or fistulotomy would be better in the long run. I've heard fistulotomy can be more of a permanent fix, but I'm really not sure about the laser option. Could you give me some advice on this? And also, how long after surgery until I can sit comfortably and get back to working at the office?
laser surgery is better for fistula
