I had sex on April 28 around 11 pm and I think the condom broke because I heard a popping sound. So I took Plan B the next day, April 29, at 10 pm. I had just finished my last period on April 27, and my flow chart says I'm supposed to start ovulating 7 days after taking the emergency pill. Will Plan B still be effective if I ovulate 7 days later? I'm also having some minor side effects like pelvic pain on the left sideis that normal?

Plan B is most effective when taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex. It can work by preventing or delaying ovulation. Taking Plan B within 24 hours of unprotected sex is more effective than taking it later. As for the pelvic pain from the left side, it is not a common side effect of Plan B. If it is painful it can be an indication of bartholin's abscess. You will need course of antibiotics and painkillers. If you are getting recurrent infection, it is better to get the bartholin cyst removed

I'm trying to figure out the right dosage to delay my periods. They're supposed to start on the 22nd, but I'd like to push them back by four days. A friend mentioned it's possible, but I'm hearing mixed advice about how many pills to takesome say two a day, others say just one. Could you please help clarify what's actually needed?
