My dad has a full ACL tear but just needs to walk normally without heavy activity is surgery the only option or are there other ways to manage it
While surgery is often recommended for full ACL tears, especially for those with high activity levels, nonsurgical management may be an option for individuals who primarily need to walk normally without engaging in strenuous activities. The decision to proceed with surgery or nonsurgical management depends on various factors, including activity level, age, overall health, and the presence of other knee injuries.
