He advised me to take Nurogold tablets and use ear drops. What could be the cause of my symptoms and should I undergo further tests?

Spinning head and numbness after exertion may point to ear balance or neurological issue. If ear cleared and symptoms persist, neuro exam is key. You are on right meds, but test balance nerves. Get yourself tested for Vitamin B12 and consider getting an MRI Brain done.
