I have been experiencing a low grade fever for the past 15 days, mostly in the evenings between 7 to 10 PM, and sometimes after 4 PM. The temperature varies between 98.5F and 99.5F. I have taken Dolo 650 twice. I sometimes feel heaviness in my eyes, but it improves after eating. I have done a Widal test and CBC, which showed only a mild increase in ESR. I am unable to understand the cause of this persistent fever. What could be the reason, and what treatment should I follow?

Fever between 98.5 to 99.5F for 15 days may suggest low grade viral, post-viral, or stress related fever. Heavy eyes and evening fatigue could be from low sugar, stress, or vitamin deficiency. Mild ESR rise shows inflammation, not a major infection. Widal test is often unreliable for typhoid screening.

Dr. Siri Suggests...

Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test or Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test
