I have been taking thyroid medication since the age of 11 and have never missed a dose. I am now 23, and my menstrual cycles have always been regular. My TSH is currently below 1, and it has been maintained below 5 for several years. Will this affect my ability to get pregnant? Also, does this increase the risk of miscarriage?

Since your thyroid has been stable for years and your periods are regular, theres usually no major issue with fertility. Well managed thyroid typically does not increase the risk of miscarriage. The key is to monitor TSH before and during pregnancy and continue your medicine. With proper care, many women with thyroid disorders have healthy pregnancies.

View allI am 66 years old. My thyroid test was done on an empty stomach after taking my thyroid medicine. The results show TSH is 3.65, T3 is 0.65 ng/mL (slightly low) and T4 is 5.96 microgram/dL (slightly low). I am taking 25 mcg of thyroxine daily. Are these results normal, or could they be inaccurate because I took the medicine before the test?

I was diagnosed with thyroid issues about a year ago. For the past two months, I have noticed swelling in my hands and feet. I also feel lethargic, always tired, and have difficulty concentrating. Could these symptoms be related to my thyroid, or might there be another cause? Please guide me

For the last four days, she has been taking Thyroxin 25. After starting the medicine, her whole body seems swollen and she feels sleepy throughout the day. She is 10 weeks pregnant. What should I do? Should I stop the thyroid medicine?
