I have a full thickness grade 3 tear in the mid segment of my ACL and was told I need surgery. Is there any chance this can heal with just meds or other treatments without going under the knife? How long would recovery take if I don't get surgery?

Grade 3 ACL tear won’t heal fully without surgery; non-op rehab may offer some support, but risk of instability remains—surgery ensures full recovery in active individuals.

I had tibia bone surgery 4 years ago with a titanium rod inserted, but now I'm feeling some pain in my leg and walking with a limp even though the X-ray shows everything looks fine. Could there be a reaction to the rod or any other reason for this pain? What could be causing this?

I had ankle surgery for a trimalleolar fracture back in October 2014 with a plate in my fibula and screws in the ankle joint. Everything feels fine now no pain or major issues, just some slight swelling and my leg feels weaker than the other one. Is it safe to get the implants removed at this point?

Implants should be removed irrespective of whether they are causing any problems. Reasons- keeping implant in body has no extra advantage. Rather if one sustains another injury the magnitude of damage is much more with implant inside than without it. And implants are stress risers. Once your ankle implants are out by 2-3 weeks of rest is fine enough.

My MRI shows bone marrow contusions in both femur and tibia condyles with moderate synovial effusion, a grade 2 ACL tear, horizontal tear in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, and grade 1 MCL sprain. I've been doing quad and ROM exercises at home for almost 2 months do I really need surgery or can I keep managing this without going under the knife
