I have a ganglion cyst on my left hand and it's been causing me pain. I'm not sure whether to go for surgery or try the needle draining method. What are the pros and cons of each option and which one would you recommend for long-term relief?

For a ganglion cyst that causes problems, having a health care provider drain the cyst with a needle might be an option. So might removing the cyst surgically. But if there are no symptoms, no treatment is necessary. Often, the cysts grow and shrink.

My 12-year-old got a fracture in their right arm between the shoulder and elbow after a minor push during play. The X-ray showed a balloon-shaped cyst measuring 6.3x2.5x2.6 cm, and the bone isn't even visible in that area the bone wall looks really thin. The orthopedist put on a shoulder immobilizer for six weeks but didn't suggest any specific treatment or meds for the cyst. The MRI says it's a unicameral aneurysmal bone cyst. Is this cyst curable? Would they need surgery or can it be treated with medication?
In a fresh case, the fractured cyst needs surgery for bony union and treatment of cyst. First stabilisation with TENS or k-wires. Then curettage, and/or grafting if required. My ACL in my right knee has been torn for 10 years my first doctor told me to rest and exercise. Now after another fall, a new doc says only ACL reconstruction surgery will fix it permanently. Are there any other options besides surgery?
