My 12-year-old got a fracture in their right arm between the shoulder and elbow after a minor push during play. The X-ray showed a balloon-shaped cyst measuring 6.3x2.5x2.6 cm, and the bone isn't even visible in that area the bone wall looks really thin. The orthopedist put on a shoulder immobilizer for six weeks but didn't suggest any specific treatment or meds for the cyst. The MRI says it's a unicameral aneurysmal bone cyst. Is this cyst curable? Would they need surgery or can it be treated with medication?

In a fresh case, the fractured cyst needs surgery for bony union and treatment of cyst. First stabilisation with TENS or k-wires. Then curettage, and/or grafting if required. Now after 6weeks, if the bone has healed then there is no need for surgery. Next Steps share x-rays if you can. Health Tips Prevent trauma on pathological side as the cyst light fracture again.

View allI'm 16 and have knock knees is there any way to fix this without surgery? I'm worried about how it looks and if it might cause problems later. What exercises or treatments could help straighten my knees naturally?
Yes, it's possible to improve the appearance and function of knock knees without surgery, especially at your age. Strengthening exercises, physiotherapy, and potentially bracing can help realign your knees and strengthen supporting muscles.

My knee has been getting stiffer over time and movement is becoming painful are there any good alternatives to knee replacement surgery? I've heard about stem cell therapy but not sure if it's effective or safe for long-term relief. What would you recommend?
Knee injections or stem cell therapy may offer temporary relief, but long-term outcomes vary and need specialist input.
