Can grade 1 anterolisthesis at L4-L5 with a disc bulge heal naturally without surgery, or is surgery the only option? Will proper exercises and less strenuous activities help the vertebrae return to their original position, or will it eventually progress to higher grades and require surgery later?

I've been playing badminton for quite a long time, about 34 years actually, and I've never had any issues before. But lately, I've noticed that when I wake up early in the morning, I experience some sort of pain on my left-hand side. Do you have any idea why this might be happening?

It is possible that you are experiencing muscle strain or inflammation in your left hand due to repetitive use during badminton. I recommend taking a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) such as ibuprofen (e.g. Advil) at a dose of 400mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain. Additionally, you can apply a topical analgesic cream like diclofenac (e.g. Voltaren) to the affected area. Make sure to rest your hand and avoid activities that worsen the pain. If the pain persists, consult a physiotherapist for further evaluation and management.

**Rephrased Query:** My mom's MRI report for her right knee shows a complex grade 3 tear in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, mild synovial effusion, and edema in the pre- and intrapatellar region. I'm really worried does this mean she needs surgery, or can a grade 3 meniscus tear heal on its own?

It is worth while to give a trial to conservative treatment.

I'm having trouble bending my left index finger after I had k wire surgery. It's been almost a year now since the surgery, and I'm starting to worry because the finger not only won't bend but also looks different. They used a k wire to connect two bones. What could be going wrong here? Should I be concerned about the shape being off? It's really bothering me and I'm not sure what to do next.

Considering your concerns after K-wire surgery, consult an orthopedic specialist or hand surgeon for personalized evaluation and guidance
