I have grade 3.5-4 mitral valve regurgitation but my cardiologist says I should wait for surgery since it's currently grade II-IV. I'm 39 should I push for surgery now or is waiting the right call? Feeling unsure about the timing.

I'm really worried about my dad. He recently visited a doctor who suggested some blood tests along with ECG and TMT. Thankfully, all his blood parameters, including cholesterol, TG, and lipid levels, are within the normal range. But during the TMT, he experienced very mild chest pain, and the doctor marked it as TMT positive for RMI. I'm really concerned about what this means. Should we be considering angiography and maybe even angioplasty for him?

My mom has this needle-like pain in her left hand index finger and it's moving up to her chest. It happens every 10 minutes, and it's really sharp pain both in the finger and her chest. She's also complaining about pain in her neck and legs. Could this be something serious, or should we get it checked out?

.I would suggest you to get an ecg done and rule out the cardiac causes and also measure blood pressure and sugars to see if there is any fluctuations...It might be neuropathy too

I'm a 34-year-old who doesn't smoke or drink, and I've recently found out my triglycerides level is at 367. My doctor suggested I start taking Tonact TG, but I'm worried if this medication might cause my blood sugar levels to rise. Can you let me know if I should be concerned about this?

Tonact TG contains Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate which are commonly used to lower triglyceride levels. Atorvastatin may slightly increase blood sugar levels in some individuals, but this effect is usually minimal. It is important to monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking Tonact TG. The usual dosage for Tonact TG is 1 tablet once daily, preferably at night. Make sure to follow your doctor's instructions and maintain a healthy lifestyle to manage your triglyceride levels effectively.
