I have had a fever of 99 to 100 degrees F for the past 10 days, along with headache and body ache. My CBC report shows leukocytes 8100/cu.mm, neutrophils 60 percent, lymphocytes 34 percent, eosinophils 2 percent, monocytes 4 percent, basophils 0 percent, hemoglobin 12.4 percent, and MPV 11.4. My typhoid tests are normal, and serum bilirubin is 1.08. What could this indicate?

Your CBC results, typhoid tests, and serum bilirubin are within normal limits, and a fever between 99 to 100 degrees F for 10 days, with body ache and headache, is often due to a viral infection or post viral fatigue. The white blood cell count and differential are balanced, which does not suggest a bacterial infection. Since your fever is still persisting, its best to monitor for 4 more days and, if it continues beyond 14 days, do additional tests like ESR, CRP, and Dengue IgM to rule out other causes.

Dr. Yusuf Suggests...

Take a ESR Test (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) Test or Take a Dengue IgM - Elisa Test
