I have had tingling sensations in my hands and legs for the last 3 years, but I have not checked my vitamin B12. Yesterday, I took my first tablet of vitamin B12, 1500 mcg. I am planning to go for the test tomorrow. My concern is, will the tablet I took affect my test report or show any false results since I have taken it only once?

A single dose of oral B12 just a day before the test usually has minimal impact on serum B12 levels. Proceed with testing but inform the lab about the supplement taken. For accuracy, repeat Serum Vitamin B12 after 3 days if needed.

I have been having mild, constant pain in my arms and legs and tingling in my face and tongue for the past six months. The problem is more pronounced after exercise or even brisk walking. I have developed sensitivity to sound and an odd metallic taste in my mouth. My blood reports, including vitamin B12 and D3, are normal. Only my total cholesterol and LDL are low at 43. Fatigue is constant, and sometimes joint pain also occurs.
