I have a hernia that doesn't show on the outside but hurts when I do physical work are there any treatments besides surgery that could help me manage the pain or fix it? I'm worried about going under the knife if there are other options.

View allMy 72-year-old dad is having hernia surgery on his left side since that's the more problematic side right now. The doctor plans to only operate on the left for now will the other side likely need surgery soon after, or can it be managed without another operation?
If your dad’s hernia surgery is successful on the left side, the right side may not necessarily require surgery soon. It will depend on how the left side heals and if the right side worsens over time.

I've been diagnosed with mild reducible bilateral inguinal hernia but sometimes the pain gets really bad on both sides. Are there any ayurvedic medicines that could help manage this and possibly avoid surgery?

What does appendix pain feel like?
Normal appendix do not cause any pain unless it is inflammed. During that period, pain usually starts around umbilicus and later travel to right lower abdomen where appendix is situated. It is a sharp shooting type of pain which increases on walking, coughing and pressig on that area. Additional symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and fever may be present.
