I have a horizontal tear in the posterior horn of my medial meniscus do I really need surgery for this or can it heal with just meds and physio

A horizontal tear in the posterior horn of your medial meniscus may or may not require surgery, depending on the size and location of the tear. Small tears in the "red-red" or "red-white" zones (with blood supply for healing) may heal with conservative treatment like rest, ice, compression, elevation, physical therapy, and pain medication. Larger tears or those in the "white zone" (no blood supply) are less likely to heal on their own and may require surgery.

I was diagnosed with AVN possibly in the first or second stage and was told core decompression might be needed. Is there any chance it can be treated with just medications without surgery? I have my CT, MRI, and X-ray reports could I share them with you for your opinion if you provide an email address?

My wife is scheduled for bilateral total knee replacement surgery on April 1st 2020 but with the COVID situation, I'm really worried about her staying in the hospital for over 20 days post-op. Is it safe to go ahead with the surgery right now or should we postpone it?
It is not advisable to go for elective surgery in the present day serinio when the whole atmosphere is infected with covid 19. It will have all medical, social & legal repurcatations. However she can practice some yoga based exercises.
